Site's Up!

The new Collusion Inc./&Eh Soundware site is up and running. Drum loops uploaded and available with more content on the way. Google does seem to be having a hard time indexing it though. :-/

Almost ready for the switchover

The new Joomla based site is almost ready to replace the old hard-coded site. Just some styling issues to cover and then content.

The new site will have a collection of heavily effect-munged drum/percussion loops and some NI Kontakt instruments to download. The Kontakt material will be making use of KSP scripts which will also be available separately.

Drupal Issues

Due to insurmountable issues with Drupal's BitCache file management module I'm shifting development of the new Collusion Inc. site to Joomla. That said, there aren't many options in the file upload/download management on the Joomla platform.

Might ditch the idea entirely and go back to a hardcoded PHP site.... :-/

All systems go! The servers are back online and the studio's nearly rebuilt in it's new home. Back to work on new stuff soon. :)

Collusion Inc. Site Offline

The main Collusion Inc. website will be offline until Saturday 13th June due to moving house. I'll probably use the opportunity to update the site's design and rebuild using a CMS, most likely Joomla.

All the best, Andy H.

Social Networking Integration - Update

The latest Yoono Firefox extension update now add Status sync across multiple activated Social Network accounts. Hopefully, we'll see Yoono add blogging support soon though Scribefire will be a tough act to follow.

Meanwhile, Flock developers are still blaming MySpace for their user account login problems. Hmm....

Social Networking Integration

...or lack thereof.

Spent the last week trying out a couple of different way to integrate my social network accounts; Flock 2.5, Yoono (Firefox extension). No dice.

The problem seems to stem from the fact that each has a preferred service - Yoono has it's own but does at least sync to both Facebook and Twitter status updates, while Flock only syncs to Facebook. One thing I have noticed is that nothing plays nice with MySpace, apparently this is something to do with the MySpace people futzing with their API every five minutes and breaking backward compatibility. So much for integration.

What we should have been seeing by now is a cross platform app, or browser plugin that sends a status update to all activated accounts. Flock and Yoono are close, but without the cigar. Rather disappointing given how long social networking has been around.
